Headline sponsor of the Ginger and Spice Festival

We’re always keen to support the communities we operate in, which is why this year we’re the proud headline sponsor for the Children’s Cookery Theatre at the sixth annual Ginger and Spice Festival

The Ginger and Spice Festival is a food, drink and heritage event that takes place in Market Drayton – the market town which is home to our Palethorpes Bakery.

Commenting on the sponsorship, Leanne Massey, our Senior HR Manager said: “At Palethorpes Bakery we’re proud of our Market Drayton roots and so we’re delighted to be supporting the festival as a headline sponsor this year. Market Drayton has developed a thriving community of food producers and manufacturers and so it’s important that we take time to inspire the next generation whilst educating them on the importance of healthy eating and sourcing sustainable ingredients.”

During this year’s festival, a team of chefs from Palethorpes will be leading a series of cookery workshops for children on Saturday 24th September, focusing on healthy eating and with an emphasis on the importance of choosing seasonal and local ingredients.
