Warehouse Operative (Days)

We are looking for a reliable and motivated Warehouse Operative to join our busy warehouse team in Bristol. This role involves working across both ambient and temperature-controlled environments within a fast-paced warehouse setting.

You will play a key role in ensuring the smooth movement of goods through the warehouse, including receiving deliveries, storing materials, picking customer orders, and preparing vehicles for dispatch using warehouse equipment such as FLT trucks.

Shift Pattern:  06:00 – 18:00 4on 4off

At our Bristol site we are one of the leading producer's of chilled soups and sauces. We proudly supply roughly 40% of the UK's chilled sauces and 20% of the country’s chilled soups to some of the UK's leading retailers.

What You’ll Be Doing

As part of the warehouse team, you will:

  • Receive, unload and store incoming deliveries safely and efficiently

  • Pick, pack, wrap and prepare customer orders for dispatch

  • Load vehicles using forklift trucks and warehouse lifting equipment

  • Ensure stock accuracy and correct rotation (FIFO)

  • Use warehouse systems and scanning equipment (RDT) to manage stock

  • Carry out quality and expiry checks on materials

  • Ensure allergen materials are stored safely and separately

  • Maintain accurate documentation and product traceability

  • Follow food safety, hygiene, and health & safety standards

  • Keep work areas clean and organised using Clean As You Go (CAYGO) practices

  • Support new team members and contribute to continuous improvement

What we’re looking for

We are looking for enthusiast and reliable people with the the following skill set, full training will be provided:

  • FLT (Forklift Truck) Licence

  • Good level of English, literacy and numeracy

  • Strong attention to detail

  •  Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment

  • Experience working in an FMCG or food warehouse environment

  • Food Safety Level 2

  • Health & Safety Level 2

  • Basic IT or warehouse system experience

  • Don’t worry if you don’t meet every requirement — training and development can be provided.
