Technical Account Manager – Chilled Food Industry
Location: Hybrid – with travel to sites Manufacturing Sites and Customers Across the UK and Occasionally Europe
£70k – £75k (DOE) + Benefits

What you will be doing:
As one of our Technical Account Managers, you will take responsibility for the day‑to‑day technical management of your nominated retail customer accounts. You’ll act as the primary technical liaison—driving standards, supporting site teams, steering innovation, and ensuring that all products consistently meet the highest levels of safety, legality and quality.
This is a highly visible, customer‑facing role where you’ll influence decision‑makers, collaborate cross‑functionally and help shape technical strategy across multiple chilled categories.
- Oversee the highest level day‑to‑day technical account management, ensuring exceptional customer service across your nominated retailer customer/s.
- Deliver the technical and business strategy for your customer through collaborative quality improvement plans involving stakeholders (customers, Internal colleagues and external suppliers)
- Take full accountability for the technical performance of your customer portfolio.
- Champion technical innovation, driving forward improvements in processes, products and standards.
- Support in‑house manufacturing site teams to deliver both TCFG and customer technical strategies seamlessly.
Key Duties
- Provide daily technical support to the relevant site Technical teams and work with the Divisional Technical Directors
- Communicate confidently and effectively at all levels—across teams, functions and the wider business.
- Build strong, trust‑led customer relationships, operating at Technical Manager or Senior Technical/Category Development Manager level.
- Formulate and deliver strategic technical plans relating to product quality, safety and compliance.
- Work cross‑functionally with Development, Quality, Operations and Commercial teams to ensure successful, on‑time product launches.
- Provide technical and innovative solutions to product and process challenges.
- Analyse customer performance data, identifying trends and driving continuous improvement.
- Develop and maintain customer compliance and quality plans.
- Lead and coordinate customer visits, audits, pre‑audits and launches, ensuring readiness and compliance.
- Support product design and process development from a technical perspective.
- Carry out any additional reasonable technical tasks required to deliver excellence.
