We're looking for an experienced Supply Chain Manager to join our Crewe site and play a key role in driving operational excellence across planning, warehousing, stock management, logistics, and supplier performance.

This is an exciting opportunity for a proven supply chain leader who thrives in a fast-paced food manufacturing environment and is passionate about delivering service, efficiency, and continuous improvement.

The Opportunity

Reporting directly to the Site Director, you'll have responsibility for leading and developing the site's supply chain function, ensuring materials, packaging, warehousing, and distribution activities support business objectives and customer requirements.

You'll work closely with Group Supply Chain and site leadership teams to improve capability, reduce complexity, optimise stockholding, and drive performance across the end-to-end supply chain.

This role offers significant visibility within the business and the opportunity to make a real impact within a growing FMCG organisation.

What You'll Be Doing

Supply Chain Leadership

  • Lead and develop the site's supply chain function, creating a high-performing and engaged team.

  • Lead supply chain projects as required by the business.

Inventory & Materials Management

  • Ensure optimal stockholding levels for raw materials and packaging.
  • Manage inventory across both on-site and off-site storage locations.
  • Minimise waste, stock losses, and working capital exposure.
  • Ensure accurate stock control and reporting processes are maintained.

Warehousing & Logistics

  • Oversee warehousing, picking, dispatch, and inventory management activities.
  • Ensure the efficient movement of materials and finished goods through the supply chain.
  • Drive service improvements and operational efficiencies across warehouse and logistics functions.
  • Manage relationships with third-party vendors and service providers.

Collaboration & Planning

  • Work closely with Group Supply Chain teams to improve processes and capability.
  • Support site operational plans through effective supply chain management.
  • Build strong relationships with Production, Procurement, Technical, Finance, and Commercial teams.
  • Ensure accurate documentation and traceability across all supply chain activities.

What We're Looking For

We're looking for an ambitious supply chain professional who combines strong leadership skills with a hands-on approach and a passion for continuous improvement.

You'll ideally have:

  • Significant supply chain leadership experience within food manufacturing or FMCG.
  • Strong understanding of end-to-end supply chain operations.
  • Experience managing warehousing, inventory, logistics, and customer service functions.
  • Proven experience managing and developing teams, including managers and supervisors.
  • Strong knowledge of stock management, inventory control, and associated costs.
  • Experience working with ERP systems and supply chain management software.
  • Supplier and vendor management experience.
  • Excellent analytical, organisational, and problem-solving skills.
  • A proactive approach with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
