The Role

The purpose of the Site Services Engineer is to assist with ensuring Riverside Bakery is compliant with all the relevant regulations and legislation relevant to site services. In addition, the role is responsible for the maintenance and upkeep of site services related equipment and the fabric of the building respectively.

We are looking for a Site Services Engineer to join our team on a permanent basis working the following rotating shift pattern:

Week 1: Mon – Thurs: 7:00am – 3.30pm, Saturday: 6.00am – 6.00pm

Week 2: Tues – Fri: 7:00am – 3.30pm, Saturday: 6.00am – 6.00pm

Your key duties and responsibilities will include:

  • Responsible for GMP/Standards in designated site services areas
  • Attendance of Daily Engineering Meetings
  • Completion of Critical and Non-Critical PPMs within area of responsibility
  • Responsible for breakdowns/reactive maintenance on all site services equipment
  • Key stakeholder in delivery of Engineering Health & Safety Actions
  • Key stakeholder in delivery of Engineering Food Safety Actions
  • Assist in site legal compliance in the following areas: Asbestos, Confided Spaces, Electrical, Fire, Gas, Water Management, Effluent Discharge, LOLER, Pressure Systems, Air, Refrigeration, LEV.

The Successful Individual

To be successful in the role, you will ideally have the following skills, knowledge and experience:

  • BG01 Guidance on the safe operation of boilers (Operator or Manager)
  • ACOP L8 Legionella Control Training
  • 17th/18th Edition Requirements for Electrical Installations
  • Previous experience within a similar role or recognised trade suitable to legal compliance area
