Hours: 18:00pm – 06:00am, 4on 4off

Palethorpes Bakery, an award-winning and market-share leading ‘Chilled Savoury Pastry’ food manufacturer, are currently looking for a Shift Manager on Night Shift to complement an existing passionate and enthusiastic team. We are looking for a natural leader with experience in fast paced and dynamic production environment. This is very much hands-on role; the candidate will be expected to contribute towards their department ensuring team and the company’s success.

Responsibilities include but are not limited:
• Promoting a safety culture within your area, ensuring all health & safety, quality and hygiene requirements are met
• Support the Lead Operative and team to ensure that targets are met
• Plan and control manning levels for your team within guidelines
• Maintain relevant communications with Engineering, Hygiene and other internal suppliers to minimise downtime
• Develop, coach and empower your team of people to deliver on plan
• Challenge current practice to maximise the effectiveness of your department
• Proactively assist on projects in the factory
• Attending regular meetings to report on performance and KPI’s during the day
What we are looking for:
• Previous supervisory/management experience
• Experience within a production or manufacturing environment
• Experience working in a in a fast-paced dynamic environment
• Excellent problem-solving skills previous success in motivating and develop a team
• A hands-on approach to people management
• A competence in MS applications and administrative experience for reporting purposes
