Location: Clitheroe, BB7 1QD
Shift Pattern: Sunday – Thursday, 40 hours per week between 21:30 – 06:30
Salary: Up to £45,000 DOE
Your Duties Will Include:
- Ensure a smooth running and efficient production environment
- Ensuring a safe and efficient workplace is maintained at all times
- Achieve the required company quality standards ensuring both internal and external customer satisfaction
- Ensuring that Key Performance Indicators (KPI's) are monitored, and targets achieved
- Liaise and coordinate with support functions to progress issues concerning production planning and resource/skill allocation to ensure delivery of products to schedule
- Communicate with the teams by utilising the visual management, delivering shift briefs with focus on quality, cost and delivery, and gathering ideas for improvement
- Lead and motivate the team to create a high-performance culture where improvement suggestions are embraced
- Lead follow up to customer concerns, identify and eliminate root cause using robust countermeasures.
- Lead all external and internal auditory standards and improvement requirements
- Carry out incident, accident and non-conformity investigations and associated reporting and action closure
- Work positively with support functions to fully define the processes/ procedures/ controls relevant to team activities.
- Ensure all HR policies and procedures are followed taking relevant action as required (disciplinary meetings, grievance meetings, absence/lateness levels)
Experience and Skills:
- Experience of working in a similar role in a food manufacturing environment (chilled food advantageous)
- Strong knowledge of H&S, Food Safety, BRC standards and PPE requirements for areas of food production
- Experience of leading and training a large operational team
- People management experience (HR policies and employment law)
- Good IT skills including Microsoft Office
- HACCP (Level 2 or 3 preferred)
- Food Safety and Hygiene (Level 3)
