Job Title: Machine Minder

Location: Sterte Avenue, Poole, Dorset BH15 2AS

Working Hours: 3 on 3 off, 08:00am – 20:00pm (Average of 38.5 hours per week)

Pay: £13.67 per hour 

Reporting To: Line Leader / Group Leader

Key Responsibilities:

  • Reset equipment and introduce different products and/or materials as necessary to minimize operational downtime and wastage of resources.
  • Clean and tidy own work area, and other areas as appropriate to maintain and promote good manufacturing practices (GMP) throughout the factory.
  • Communicate progress against the target to the Group Leader and other members of the team in order to achieve the team’s daily output.
  • Communicate and co-operate with other teams in order to achieve the smooth running of the departmental and company goals.
  • Work as instructed and trained in line with the SOP (Standard Operating Practices).
  • Report faults so they can be put right quickly, to keep downtime to a minimum.
  • Setting up the production lines
  • Monitoring the production lines, keeping downtime to a minimum
  • Tool changeovers in a timely manner
  • Helping to achieve the production plan, avoiding non-conformances
  • Regular checks of equipment keeping them in good condition
  • Liaise with engineers and supervisors with regard to lines performance and issues
  • Follow the company procedures in relation to food safety, and allergen control and maintain good manufacturing practices throughout the shift
  • Follow clean as you go policy and high standards of personal hygiene
  • Deliver high standards of quality ensuring products are produced to customer satisfaction in line with site standards and customer specification
  • Complete and submit documentation accurately and in a timely manner to ensure traceability is maintained
  • Perform necessary checks to a high standard
  • Lead team on a day-to-day basis ensuring work is covered across all areas with the team including participation in changeovers
