This role will be responsible for cleaning specific food manufacturing equipment and food production areas, in line with the company’s standards.
Ensure all cleaning tasks are carried out following standard operating procedures in line with the Cleaning Instruction Card (CIC) and cleaning schedule
Follow the Health and Safety procedures, including wearing provided PPE and ensure all potential hazards are observed and reported, taking care of own and colleagues safety
Follow the company processes and site operating procedures in relation to food safety, hygiene, allergen control and maintain good manufacturing practices (GMP) throughout the shift
Follow the clean as you go policy and maintain high standards of personal hygiene
Use and maintain all equipment in a correct manner and report any machine/equipment issues immediately
Complete and submit any documentation accurately and in a timely manner to ensure traceability is maintained
Minimise the environmental impact by following the company waste disposal procedures
Ensure any equipment which is dismantled, is correctly and efficiently re-assembled ready for the next production run
Report any anomalies and non – conformance to Supervisor/Manager
Assist in day to day operation and provide cover and support to other operatives if necessary
You may be assigned to other tasks and you will be expected to perform any reasonable requests as requested

Training & Development
The right candidate will ideally have previous food hygiene experience, or a background from food manufacturing and has the ability and enthusiasm to learn on the job in a fast paced sector of the industry
Hygiene and Chemical Awareness (preferable)
Level 1/2 HACCP (preferable)
ESOL Entry 2 or equivalent (preferable)
Ability to follow safe working practices and instructions
