This is the first use of this technique in the market and has enabled Palethorpes to grow its market presence by winning substantial new business. Using the new technique, Palethorpes has developed several award-winning varieties of hot water short crust pastry pies.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the factory equipment and environment are kept and maintained to a high degree of cleanliness.
  • Basic understanding of food microbiology, covering Hygiene Awareness
  • Standard and deep cleaning of food process machinery
  • Ensure all equipment returned is food and safety compliant
  • Completion of relevant paperwork
  • Understand the appropriate Health & safety procedures
  • Assisting in general amenities and hygiene duties if and when required
  • Skills Required:
    • Attention to detail within hygiene duties
    • Ability to work on own initiative and within a team
    • Ability to carry out both Standard and deep cleaning practices
    • Awareness of Health & Safety within Hygiene practices
    • Work within a team structure with a ‘Can do’ approach
    • Good communication
    • Organised with attention to detail
