Location: The Compleat food Group, Crossgate Drive, Nottingham, NG2 1LW 

Working Hours: 4on 4off 18:00 – 06:00 – 40.88 hours average per week

Pay: £15.18 per hour (overtime available)

Reporting To: Hygiene Supervisor & Hygiene Manager

What You’ll Be Doing

As a Skilled Hygiene Operative, you’ll help ensure our factory and equipment are cleaned to the highest possible standards — exceeding both customer expectations and legislative requirements.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Carrying out all cleaning tasks in line with documented cleaning instruction cards
  • Safely using chemicals, cleaning equipment, and jet washers to prepare machinery for production start-up
  • Maintaining exceptional hygiene and food handling standards at all times
  • Ensuring all equipment is thoroughly cleaned with no residue remaining
  • Cleaning factory areas to a high standard while following company health & safety procedures
  • Reporting damaged equipment or hygiene concerns to the Hygiene Team Leader
  • Completing and signing off hygiene, quality, and safety documentation accurately
  • Following HACCP principles to maintain food safety standards
  • Wearing the correct PPE for high-risk and low-risk production areas
  • Supporting housekeeping and maintaining a safe working environment across the site
  • Working closely with Team Leaders, Supervisors, and Managers to achieve daily hygiene targets
  • Taking part in mandatory training relating to hygiene, safety, and environmental standards
  • Assisting with additional hygiene and cleaning duties across the site as required

  • Flexible and willing to support different areas of the business
  • Ability to follow procedures carefully and work safely
  • Strong attention to detail and pride in maintaining cleanliness standards
  • Previous hygiene experience within the Food Manufacturing or FMCG sector
  • Level 2 Food Hygiene qualification (advantageous but not essential)
