Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) Coordinator 

We have a new opportunity to join The Compleat Food Group as an HSE Coordinator, supporting our Harvey & Brockless team based in Battersea and Redhill!

Location: Based at Battersea & Redhill with travel to other company sites as required by the business, including Evesham

Hours: Monday – Friday, 8:30am – 5:00pm

Salary: £32,000

Your Duties Will Include:

  • Support and conduct risk assessments and implement control measures.
  • Assist compliance with legislation and Occupation, Health, Safety & Environment (OHSE) management systems.
  • Conduct audits, inspections, and monitoring activities.
  • Monitor and support the close out of actions.
  • Support incident investigations and corrective actions.
  • Deliver HSE training and awareness initiatives.
  • Support emergency arrangements.
  • Support physical site security activities.
  • Support waste management, ensure compliance with environmental regulations and apply Best Available Techniques (BAT) where applicable.
  • Support HSE committee meetings and encourage a positive culture.
  • Maintain records, documentation, and compliance reporting.
  • Communicate HSE performance appropriately.
  • Support health assessment programmes.
  • Gather information and data required by enforcement authorities and relevant bodies.
  • Support internal, external, and customer audits and visits.
  • Support the delivery of Functional HSE objectives, contributing to operational HSE performance.

Knowledge, Experience and Skills:

  • Basic Health and Safety knowledge or manufacturing operational exposure. 
  • Strong organisational, communication, and administrative skills. 
  • Willingness to learn and develop HSE competency progressively. 
  • Strong capability in forward thinking and use of technology systems and devices. 
  • Hands-on approach to compliance, risk management, and support functions
