Drive excellence. Deliver growth. Lead our S&OP transformation.
Are you a dynamic S&OP leader ready to shape the future of a fast-paced, high-growth chilled food business? We’re looking for an experienced Head of Sales & Operations Planning to take ownership of our end-to-end S&OP process — aligning demand, supply, and financial plans to deliver world-class customer satisfaction, improved profitability, and operational efficiency.
As our Head of S&OP for The Compleat Food Group, you’ll be the key driver in developing and evolving a best-in-class planning process across the business. You’ll work cross-functionally with senior stakeholders in Sales/Commercial, Operations, Supply Chain, Procurement, and Finance to balance demand and supply, improve inventory turns, reduce lead times, and maximise working capital efficiency.
This is a pivotal leadership role, ideal for someone with both strategic vision and hands-on expertise, who thrives in a dynamic environment where growth, innovation, and pace are the norm.
Lead the aggregation of the demand plan across multiple categories, delivering a rolling 12–24-month view of unconstrained demand.
Oversee capacity and scenario planning to enable effective business decision-making.
Manage and continuously improve the S&OP process, ensuring all stakeholders are aligned and trained.
Develop and monitor long-term output and capacity plans that align with business strategy.
Prepare and present data for monthly S&OP meetings, supporting resourcing, equipment, and labour planning.
Partner with cross-functional teams to validate demand and supply assumptions and track performance metrics.
Drive continuous improvement and lean initiatives across the supply chain to enhance efficiency and reduce waste.
Facilitate consensus on demand planning across Sales, Marketing, Product Development, and Operations.
Support new product introductions by integrating NPD planning into demand cycles.
Act as a key point of escalation for major business risks related to supply and demand balance.
7–10 years’ experience in Supply Chain, with proven expertise in Demand Planning, Supply Planning, and Inventory Management, ideally in both manufactured and sourced finished goods.
Strong working knowledge of MRP and ERP systems, inventory control, materials requirements planning, and advanced analytics.
Experienced in Lean principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
Exceptional organisational, project management, and prioritisation skills — able to handle multiple demands and deadlines in a fast-moving environment.
Highly data-driven with strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities; advanced proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
Proven leadership and people management skills — a natural communicator, influencer, and change agent. Confident engaging with senior leadership and cross-functional teams to deliver results.
This is an exciting time to join a high growth business at the forefront of the chilled food sector — investing in growth, innovation, and operational excellence. You’ll have the autonomy to shape our S&OP strategy and the opportunity to make a lasting impact across the business.
If you’re ready to lead transformation, build capability, and drive performance in one of the UK’s most exciting food manufacturing environments — we’d love to hear from you. Apply now to take the next step in your S&OP leadership career.
