We have an exciting newly created role and are on the hunt for a Group Product Quality Manager, a role that sits at the heart of our mission to delight customers and consumers with innovative, quality products. This pivotal position will drive excellence across our diverse food categories, ensuring we continue to raise the bar in the UK chilled food manufacturing industry.

This is a Monday to Friday hybrid role, working from our manufacturing sites with WFH opportunities. There will be an expectation to travel to our UK retail customers, our manufacturing sites and occasional travel internationally to our suppliers (you will require a valid driving licence).

Your Mission:

  • Defining Excellence: Spearhead our quest for quality by identifying what excellence looks like across all our categories, using external assessments and objective criteria. Dive deep into the components of quality, encompassing recipe, packaging, and processes, and chart the path to achieve and exceed these standards.
  • Leadership: Work alongside senior management and key stakeholders to align quality initiatives with our strategic priorities. You'll be instrumental in establishing a new Quality Council, fostering a culture where quality and compliance are distinct yet harmonious, with a sharp focus on innovation.
  • Structure and Accountability: Differentiate between standard compliance and genuine quality improvement. Help identify and champion quality leaders within our business, and play a key role in establishing Centres of Excellence.
  • Investment: Assess our current quality capabilities and advocate for enhancements. Drive investments in learning, development, and technology to keep us at the forefront of the industry.
  • Change Management: Elevate our quality standards through effective change management strategies, ensuring a holistic approach to product and category development. Keep a pulse on market trends and customer feedback to continually refine and improve our offerings.

What We're Looking For Ideally:

  • Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Manufacturing, or related field, or equivalent NPD role experience.
  • Proven analytical and problem-solving expertise.
  • Exceptional communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively across all levels.
  • Experience in managing budgets and implementing complex projects.
  • Deep understanding of quality standards and practices in food manufacturing.
  • A dynamic leader who embodies innovation, strategic thinking, and has a genuine passion for food quality.
