Enterprise Architect – The Compleat Food Group

Location: Hybrid – based at any site
Salary: £70,000 – £75,000 + car allowance + bonus
 

At The Compleat Food Group (TCFG), we’re on a mission to create great tasting food that people love — made the right way. As we continue to grow and modernise our technology landscape, we’re looking for an experienced Enterprise Architect to help define and deliver the architecture that will power our next chapter.

This is a high-impact, strategic role where you’ll shape the long-term technology vision across cloud, data, applications, and integration — while working closely with our cybersecurity team to ensure secure-by-design principles are embedded throughout.

What you’ll be doing

• Define the target-state enterprise architecture and multi-year roadmap aligned with TCFG’s business strategy.
• Maintain architecture principles, standards, and governance across systems and platforms.
• Partner with InfoSec to integrate secure-by-design thinking and support risk assessments for key programmes.
• Lead technical due diligence for M&A and major vendor or platform selections.
• Provide strategic oversight on enterprise systems including Infor CloudSuite (ERP), Azure, data platforms, and integration.
• Simplify and modernise the landscape by reducing technical debt and rationalising applications.
• Promote modern architecture practices such as API-first design, microservices, data mesh, and composable architecture.
• Stay ahead of emerging technologies — AI, automation, IoT — assessing their value to TCFG’s strategy.

What we’re looking for

• 7+ years’ experience in enterprise or solution architecture spanning infrastructure, data, and applications.
• Strong background in hybrid environments (on-prem and Azure).
• Proven collaboration with cybersecurity and IT operations teams.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage senior stakeholders across the business.
• Knowledge of cloud security, IAM, data privacy, and risk management.

Desirable:

• ERP (Infor M3, SAP) and data platform experience.
• Familiarity with frameworks such as TOGAF, NIST, CIS Controls, or Zero Trust.
• Cloud or architecture certifications (e.g. TOGAF, Azure Solutions Architect, CISSP, SABSA).
• Experience in manufacturing or FMCG environments.
