We’re looking for an Engineering Administrator to join our Engineering team at The Compleat Food Group.

This is a varied and important role at the heart of our Engineering function. You’ll help make sure our maintenance systems, engineering records, stock controls, purchasing and compliance documentation are accurate, organised and always ready when needed.

Working closely with Engineering, Operations, Technical, Health & Safety and Finance, you’ll be the person who helps keep everything connected behind the scenes.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Keeping engineering records, documentation and filing systems accurate and up to date.
  • Raising, tracking and closing maintenance work orders through our Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
  • Supporting the administration of Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) schedules.
  • Producing regular engineering reports and KPI information.
  • Helping track engineering budgets and expenditure.
  • Raising purchase orders and processing goods receipts for engineering parts, consumables and services.
  • Monitoring engineering spare-part and consumable stock levels.
  • Maintaining accurate stock records and investigating discrepancies.
  • Liaising with suppliers about quotations, orders, invoices and deliveries.
  • Keeping statutory inspection, calibration, maintenance and certification records up to date.
  • Supporting internal and external audits and helping track resulting actions.
  • Coordinating contractor documentation, permits and site-access paperwork.
  • Organising meetings, taking minutes and following up actions.
  • Supporting engineering projects with administration, coordination and document control.

What We’re Looking For

Experience within engineering, manufacturing, maintenance, stock control, purchasing or a similar administrative environment would be an advantage

  • Excellent organisation – you can manage competing priorities, maintain clear records and keep administration running smoothly.
  • Strong attention to detail – accuracy matters to you, whether you’re updating a maintenance record, processing an order or preparing information for an audit.
  • Clear communication – you’re comfortable working with colleagues across different departments as well as contractors and suppliers.
  • A practical approach to problem solving – when something doesn’t add up, you’re happy to investigate and help find the answer.
  • Professionalism and discretion – you handle information responsibly and work with integrity.
  • A proactive attitude – you’re comfortable using your initiative, adapting when priorities change and looking for opportunities to make things better.
