What you'll be doing

As our Raw Material Quality Auditor, you'll be one of the first lines of defence in protecting our product quality. You'll work closely with our Operations and Technical teams to make sure everything coming into our site is up to standard.

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

  • Checking quality from the start: Inspecting and verifying incoming raw materials and packaging against agreed supplier specifications.
  • Keeping standards high: Auditing storage areas and ensuring food safety, hygiene and Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) procedures are followed.
  • Spotting and solving problems: Identifying non-conformances, working with suppliers and internal teams, and ensuring corrective actions are completed.
  • Monitoring temperatures: Checking temperature-controlled storage areas, fridges and equipment to ensure products are kept in the right conditions.
  • Supporting food safety: Collecting samples and following testing procedures to help protect the quality, safety and legality of our products.
  • Being audit-ready: Maintaining accurate records, supporting traceability and helping the team prepare for internal and external audits.
  • Working together: Communicating quality findings, trends and concerns to colleagues across the business.
  • Driving improvements: Looking for smarter, safer and more efficient ways of working while maintaining our high standards.

What we're looking for

We're looking for someone who takes pride in their work, enjoys problem-solving and understands why quality matters in food manufacturing.

Ideally, you'll bring:

  • Previous experience in a food manufacturing, quality assurance or technical environment.

  • Basic microbiological awareness and knowledge of food safety principles.
  • Excellent attention to detail and strong organisational skills.
  • Confidence using Microsoft Office and maintaining accurate records.
  • Great communication skills and a positive, team-focused attitude.
  • The ability to think on your feet, make decisions and adapt to changing priorities.
  • GCSE-level education (or equivalent), including good literacy and numeracy skills.

It would be great if you also have:
