About the Role
We are recruiting for a Site Head of Technical to join TCFG at our Tottle site in Nottingham. This is a senior leadership role responsible for delivering the technical and quality strategy across the site, ensuring the highest standards of food safety, legality, quality, and integrity for both the business and its customers.

You will play a critical role in driving continuous improvement, managing customer relationships, and leading a high-performing technical team within a fast-paced food production environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the site technical function, ensuring best-in-class standards and compliance
• Deliver the group technical strategy at site level
• Build strong relationships with customers, ensuring expectations are met and exceeded
• Drive continuous improvement across technical and factory operations
• Lead customer audits, site visits, and product launches
• Maintain high audit standards and accreditation performance
• Develop and manage customer joint quality plans
• Use data and insights to improve site performance and technical KPIs
• Collaborate cross-functionally with SLT and wider business teams
• Develop and coach a high-performing technical team

About You

• Proven experience in a senior technical/quality leadership role within food manufacturing (ideally chilled foods)
• Strong knowledge of UK retailer standards (M&S, Tesco, Asda, JS highly desirable)
• Demonstrable experience leading audits and managing customer relationships
• Strong people leadership skills with a track record of developing teams
• Excellent communication, influencing, and stakeholder management skills
• Strong understanding of food science, UK & EU regulations, and retailer COPs
• Commercially aware with the ability to drive performance in a fast-paced environment

Qualifications & Requirements

• Degree qualified (Food-related discipline)
• HACCP Level 3 & Food Safety Level 3
• TACCP / Food Integrity knowledge
• Lead Auditor qualification
• Full UK Driving Licence
