Account Receivables Clerk

Job title –  Account Receivables Clerk

Salary – £27,500 – £30,000

Hours: Monday to Friday 9am – 5pm

Location: Battersea 

We have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Accounts Receivable Clerk to join the Harvey & Brockless team, part of The Compleat Food Group, where your skills will make a real impact in a dynamic business.

In this pivotal role, you’ll evaluate customer credit, minimise financial risk, and work closely with clients and internal teams to resolve payment issues, all whilst helping to support the financial strength and success of our business.

Your Duties Will Include:

  • Ensuring that debts are collected within the agreed terms.
  • Allocations of customer receipts
  • Reconciliation of accounts
  • Setting up new customer credit accounts and credit checks.
  • Maintain regular contact with customers.
  • Recording notes on customer accounts.
  • Raising credit note requests for customers.
  • Sending accounts legal.
  • Respond to customer queries and ensure timely resolution.
  • Liaising with sales managers and customer service staff.
  • Provide cover for other accounts staff as and when required.
  • Meet monthly targets set by manager.
  • General administration
  • Ad hoc, projects.

 

Your Skills and Experience:

  • 1-2 years experience working in an Accounts Receivable role 
  • Attention to detail, working under pressure and to deadlines
  • Strong communication skills with ability to confidently engage with internal and external stakeholders
  • Ability to take ownership of a ledger in a proactive and professional manner
  • Good Microsoft Excel skills
  • Strong IT skills
