Our leading Mediterranean food brand unearthed® has added a market-first to its frozen dessert range with the launch of its new Jumbo Churros – a giant version of everyone’s favourite sweet Spanish snack.
unearthed®’s mission is to create authentic recipes that take people back to the delicious flavours they’ve experienced while on holidays abroad. Our new Jumbo Churros are a replica of the popular filled versions found in Spain and are topped with cinnamon sugar and chocolate sauce, making them perfect for a tasty dessert. They can also be warmed in the oven from frozen in just 4 – 5 minutes to satisfy consumer’s last-minute cravings for a sweet snack as well as being the only giant churro you can find in the frozen aisle.
The launch comes as the total frozen sector reports a +2% growth compared to the same period two years ago, with frozen confectionary growing significantly faster than the market at +7.8%  as consumers looking for easy, premium treats they can enjoy at home.
The introduction of Jumbo Churros builds on unearthed®’s recent expansion into the Frozen Desserts category, joining their Classic Pastel De Nata and Blueberry Pastel De Natas, both delicious versions of the popular Portuguese custard tarts.

unearthed® has recently celebrated a major milestone as it reached £1 million donated to international hunger charity Action Against Hunger UK, helping to save 23,000 lives globally from life-threatening hunger. Since 2010, unearthed® has pledged a 1p donation from every pack of its products sold to Action Against Hunger UK, which aims to end hunger by preventing and treating malnutrition in over 50 countries around the world.
