We’re thrilled to announce an incredible opportunity for a Site Facilities Maintenance Technician (Site Services Engineer) to join our chilled food manufacturing site based in Nottingham!

Location: Riverside Bakery, Nottingham, NG2 1LW

Working Hours: Monday to Friday 7.30am – 4:00pm. 

Salary: £40,000 

Purpose:

To undertake the upkeep and repair tasks to the interior and exterior of company premises including all incoming services, outgoing services and associated Plant.

Your Duties Will Include:

• Responsible for all site services including boilers, cooling towers, refrigeration, effluent plant, compressors, plumbing, electrical works and general maintenance/repairs to buildings
• Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) and inspection maintenance on all site equipment including fire alarms, emergency lighting, ladder checks and fire doors
• Key stakeholder in delivery of Engineering Health and Safety Actions and Engineering Food Safety Actions
• Working proactively and reactively to respond to issues/breakdowns.
• Delivery of maintenance and repair strategy on time
• Liaising with contractors and other workers when required
• Identifying and reporting the need for major repairs
• Replacing electrical light fittings/sockets and other electrical works as required.
• Mechanical Works including plumbing, cladding, and filling holes in walls/floors
• Drive the change from a ‘reactive’ to ‘proactive culture’, supporting with continuous improvements across site

Skills and Experience:

• Previously experience in maintaining facilities/site services – ideally in a manufacturing/food environment

• Experience of maintaining industrial machinery, boilers, compressors and effluent plant (desirable)

• Formal environmental health and safety experience

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Self-motivated with a great work ethic
• Work on own initiative as well as part of a team
• Prioritise workload efficiently
• Good level of computer literacy
