Palethorpes business produces chilled savoury rolls, savoury hot pies, pasties and slices. The business has been producing products in this category since 1852 and innovation is high on its agenda. Palethorpes has a strong culture of consumer insight. This is underpinned by in-depth food knowledge, with dedicated on-site development chefs working on new products that are driven by food values and quality.

In the last 18 months, the business has invested £2 million to develop a unique chef-inspired cooking method, which produces consistently succulent meat. This is the first use of this technique in the market and has enabled Palethorpes to grow its market presence by winning substantial new business. Using the new technique, Palethorpes has developed several award-winning varieties of hot water short crust pastry pies.

To ensure that all procedures that control product quality, safety and legality are adhered to and to provide cover for the QA Manager. This role is a development role into QA Manager or other leadership roles.

Responsibilities Include:

• Communicating any issues or defects to management
• Inspection of machine parts prior to setting up and to complete relevant Pre-Start check sheets
• Have enthusiasm and passion for our products.
• Have a proactive attitude and enjoy being busy.
• Be able to move between jobs easily whilst maintaining focus.
• Ensure all health and safety regulations within the company are adhered to.
• Maintaining a neat and tidy work area.
• Do regular online checks & report any non-conformances to Group Leaders or Managers
