Occupational Health Advisor – Addo Food Group – Poole Bakery
Are you a Part 3 Registered Specialist Practitioner, looking for a new opportunity? We are currently recruiting a full time permanent Occupational Health Nurse to support our Poole Bakery (approx 700 staff) and Dorset Foods (150 staff) sites, located within less than 26 miles of each other.

About the Job:
As the Occupational Health Advisor covering both Sout West sites, you will be required to provide a comprehensive and pro-active Occupational Health Service to Addo employees, offering expert advice and support to the Business on all aspects of Occupational Health and Occupational Health Legislation.
In this capacity your principal accountabilities will include but not be limited to the following:
•Organise and deliver a comprehensive health surveillance service to the business as determined by Statutory Requirements, Company Policy and Business Need – including conducting Pre-Placement and Safety Critical Medicals and routine health surveillance / screening.
•Provide expert advice and practical support to Line Management and HR in the management of sickness absence cases within the business, assessing individuals for fitness to work and establishing practical and value-adding rehabilitation programmes to ensure that cases are progressed appropriately.
•Advise and counsel individuals on Occupational Health matters, identifying possible health hazards and suggesting remedies to improve individual health.
•Maintain accurate and confidential Occupational Health Records which conform to the guidelines for record keeping laid down by the Nursing and Midwifery Council and in conjunction with current GDPR regulations.
What we’re looking for:
To be considered for this opportunity, you will need to be a Part 3 Registered Specialist Practitioner (i.e. post graduate OH Diploma or OH Degree qualified with Specialist Practitioner Status) with proven experience in an Occupational Health setting.
Excellent interpersonal skills are an essential pre-requisite for this role, alongside a proven ability to communicate effectively with employees at all levels within the organisation.
