Occupational Health Advisor (Peripatetic Role)

Our Occupational Health department is thrilled to announce a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Occupational Health Advisor.  

 

You will be required to provide a professional, proactive, and comprehensive Occupational Health advice service, ensuring prevention of illness and injury arising through work activity and to deliver the promotion of health, safety, and wellbeing to all employees.

 

This is a peripatetic role, which will predominantly be home based with pre-planned and rotational work booked on the various factory sites as required, and dependant on business demand. You will be required to visit our Palethorpes site for occasional team meetings.

Working Hours:

Working 4 days per week (32 hours), Monday – Thursday with an occasional Friday – Sunday on call support on a rotational basis.

 

Your core working hours could be anything between 6am – 11pm; most working hours will be 8:30am – 5pm, however throughout the working year there will be a requirement to complete pre-arranged late clinics to cover permanent night worker assessments.

 

Your Duties Will Include:

  • To provide advice and guidance to line managers and HR colleagues through case management (including complex cases), representing Occupational Health at attendance management meetings via telephone, Microsoft teams and face to face
  • Protect, manage, and secure all medical data within GDPR & Medical Ethics
  • Support with the clinical triage of line management referrals
  • Action within the KPI, all referrals (capability, absence, injury [PLTI], support etc.) and provide advice via an appropriate report
  • Review within KPI/SLA all baseline and health surveillance referred by OH technicians and provide advice on health needs, adjustments, or restrictions
  • Maintain records to the highest of standards
  • Work flexibly to provide face to face consultations and environmental walk abouts across The Compleat Food Group
  • Signpost service users to additional external services
  • Respond promptly to service requirements and work within the Occupational Health Service Level Agreement (SLA)
  • Support with rotational weekend on-call duties
  • Support with rotational late clinics to assess permanent night workers

  • Computer literate with software experience of word, excel and adobe

  • Able to work autonomously on a peripatetic basis
