£36,750 per annum DOE

18:00 – 02:30

•Please note that the successful candidate will be required to work with flexible hours.


Job Purpose:

To lead a cross functional team to deliver the area objectives as agreed with the Bakery Manager.


 Key Responsibilities:

•Protect the Health & Safety of all production employees through instituting and adherence to site safety culture. Implementing counter measures and mitigation plans for any risks identified.

•Monitor team performance and adherence to SOP’s

•Maintain product quality and adherence to GMP, through management of the team and process to deliver agreed product specifications as defined in quality standards and policies.

•Conduct through analysis of Key Performance data, identify performance gaps, trends and improvement opportunities. Communicating internally via visual management standards in the production area.

•Manage the availability of labour against the plan and work with other GL’s and other site based areas to optimise labour across the site.

•Cover essential elements of the Line Leader In the event of unplanned absence


What you need for this role:

•Proficient written and verbal level of English

•Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office

•Numerical ability to record, interpret and analyse key process data

•Experience of managing a team in a process environment

•Understanding and ability to apply in live situations the principles and tools of GMP

•Knowledge and understanding of manufacturing/people processes needed to build high performing teams.

•Ability to identify and actively plan operations and improvements.

•Effective communicator who facilitates bottom up and top down communication channels.

•Able to meet deadlines

•Good relationship building
