Hours: Monday – Friday, 08:30am-17:00pm

Palethorpes Bakery is an award-winning and market-share leading ‘Chilled Savoury Pastry’ food manufacturer. We are currently recruiting for a National Account Executive – Asda to join our Commercial Team on a permanent basis.  Palethorpes Bakery is a part of The Compleat Food Group which has a strong relationship with Asda, supplying chilled savoury pastry products from multiple sites across the country.

Responsibilities and skillset:

•           Daily / weekly / monthly administration duties associated with servicing the Asda Account.

•           Includes external customer admin, and internal admin for sites within the wider group.

•           Liaising with all relevant functions internally and externally including Supply Chain, Production, Product Development, Technical and Commercial.

•           To plan and identify priorities and deadlines; ensuring clear, efficient, and effective communication occurs in a timely manner via the agreed communication mechanisms.

•           Manage communications internally and externally.

•           Examples of routine admin:

o          Promotional briefs

o          New Product Launch briefs

o          New Line listing Forms

o          Weekly Price File Checks & Invoice queries

o          Assist the Account Manager with promotional planning, and successful delivery of new product launches

•           Support other members of the commercial team with adhoc information requests:

•           Build and nurture excellent working relationships with the primary Asda contacts:

o          Trading Assistant (primary)

o          Supply Analysts (primary)

o          Buyers and Product Managers (where relevant)

Ideally based at Palethorpes Bakery in Market Drayton, but location is flexible and can be based at one of our Nottingham sites. The role is flexible and incorporates hybrid working, occasional travel to Leeds may also be required (but not essential).

Summary of essential skills

•           Numerate 

•           Computer literate on Excel / PowerPoint

•           Strong organisation, time management and communication skills

•           Ability to work under pressure and manage deadlines, both externally and internally

•           A team player
