We are currently looking for a Materials Scheduler to work within our Purchasing team at South Bank, Middlesbrough. The purpose of the role is to manage and maintain inventory levels across sites in a timely and efficient manner. 

Key tasks include: 

  • Place PO’s against the company Materials Requirements System (MRP) using the company operating system maintaining targeted inventory levels
  • Work closely with Purchasing and Planning departments to ensure sites remain stocked with materials in line with supplier lead times
  • Expedite outstanding deliveries highlighting problems and escalating where appropriate
  • Monitor and maintain the MRP system marking off goods received as required
  • Organise supplier returns for non-conforming goods using the company operating system
  • Carry out ad-hoc admin tasks; such as new SKU code loading, packaging databases stock reconciliation with external cold stores
  • To attend periodic production and planning meetings as required

Person Specification:

  • Ability to demonstrate proficient use of Microsoft Excel and Outlook
  • Problem solver with a can do attitude
  • Organised and methodical in approach
  • Able to work well under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Excellent communication skills
