Palethorpes Bakery, an award-winning and market-share leading ‘Chilled Savoury Pastry’ food manufacturer, are currently looking to recruit a Logistics Administrator to work in Dispatch within a fast-paced food manufacturing environment on a permanent contract.

The successful candidate for this role will need to demonstrate the following skills and have the following responsibilities:

Job purpose:

The role is incumbent to process inbound delivery bookings by means of both telephone and email communications from Vendors, Haulier’s and internal departments.

The successful candidate will:

  •  become conversant with all Logistically associated administrative tasks, being able to stand in for planned absence and support the wider team during peak periods of demand.
  •  assume responsibility for the verification and processing of purchase orders.
  • be asked to support the investigation and help to develop performance management of 3pl partners.

Responsibilities:

•           To actively promote a safety, health and environment culture in accordance with H&S responsibilities as defined in the H&S policy

•           To operate with strict levels of integrity in dealing with business sensitive information.

•           Ensure that the booking system is maintained and published

•           Process detailed purchase orders & Invoices.

•           Help to manage the 3pl distribution accounts by analysing complex data.

•           Stock management systems analysis and verification using various computer-based data sources.
