Head of Supply Planning (Outsourced) – UK Chilled Food Manufacturing
Location: Redhill, Surrey (Frequent International Travel Required)

The Compleat Food Group are seeking a Head of Supply Planning (Outsourced) to manage our outsourced product range, ensuring optimal efficiency, cost management, and seamless product availability. You'll lead a talented team of supply chain professionals while working closely with global suppliers to ensure our business growth targets are met, and our customers remain satisfied.

What you will be doing:

  • Strategic Supply Planning:
    Build and nurture relationships with key  (and new) outsourced suppliers, collaboratively developing and implementing supply strategies that align with our business goals. Ensure cost-efficient product availability and manage the seamless execution of key events, such as Christmas and range changes.

  • End-to-End Supply Chain Management:
    Oversee the full outsourced supply chain process, from supplier sites to customer delivery. Proactively manage risks like raw material availability and capacity constraints to ensure minimal service disruptions.

  • Measurement & Control:
    Collate, analyse, and report on key supply chain KPIs, using data to drive continuous improvements in efficiency and cost management.

  • Capacity Management:
    Understand capacity constraints, lead times, and working practices at our supplier sites. Collaborate closely with the Demand Planning team to ensure future demand can be met without compromising service or efficiency.

  • Team Leadership & Development:
    Lead and mentor a team of supply chain professionals, fostering a culture of collaboration, excellence, and continuous improvement across the group.

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration:
    Work closely with key internal teams to ensure alignment between product parameters and forecast demand, while driving cost efficiencies.

  • Continuous Improvement:
    Analyse supply chain performance metrics, identify areas for improvement, and lead initiatives that enhance supply chain efficiency, reduce costs, and improve service delivery.

  • Global Supplier Management:
    Frequent International travel to supplier sites to understand operational processes, build strong relationships, and ensure alignment with our supply chain strategy.

Who we are looking for:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, or equivalent experience.
  • 7+ years of supply chain management experience, with 3+ years in a senior leadership role within the food industry.
  • Strong experience managing global end-to-end supply chains, including logistics, import/export, and customs processes.
  • Excellent leadership and team development skills, with the ability to inspire, manage, and motivate diverse teams.
  • Exceptional communication and negotiation skills to build lasting relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
  • Strong proficiency in supply chain management software and tools, with a demonstrated ability to analyse data and drive strategic decisions.
  • In-depth knowledge of food safety regulations and standards.
  • A proactive problem solver with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
  • Willingness and flexibility to travel internationally per month.
