About the Role

As the Head of Supply Planning, you'll be at the forefront of our supply chain operations for our manufacturing sites, ensuring optimal efficiency, cost management, and product availability to support our business growth. You'll lead the strategic supply planning function, ensuring that production forecasts are met, and our customers’ needs are consistently satisfied.

What you will be doing:

  • Strategic Supply Planning:
    Develop and implement robust supply planning strategies across our UK sites to align with our business goals, ensuring seamless product availability and cost efficiency.
    Lead the supply planning function within the business’ S&OP process, driving strategic decisions.

  • End-to-End Supply Chain Management:
    Oversee the complete supply chain process, ensuring a smooth flow of products from production to customer delivery, while swiftly addressing risks and capacity constraints.

  • Measurement & Control:
    Manage the collation, analysis, and reporting of supply chain KPIs across the group, ensuring continuous alignment with business targets.

  • Team Leadership & Development:
    Lead and mentor a team of supply chain professionals across multiple UK sites, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, best practice and above all – excellence.

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration:
    Partner cross functionally with departmental teams to ensure production forecasts are aligned and supply chain objectives are consistently met.

  • Continuous Improvement:
    Identify and implement initiatives to enhance supply chain efficiency, reduce costs, and improve overall performance through rigorous analysis of performance metrics.

  • Capacity & Forecast Management:
    Work closely with site teams to understand capacity constraints and collaborate with demand planning to meet future demand requirements.

  • Key Event Management:
    Lead the supply planning strategy for major events, including Christmas and seasonal stock builds, ensuring all timelines and targets are met.

What You’ll Bring to the role:

  • Proven experience in supply chain management within a manufacturing environment, within the chilled food sector.
  • Strong leadership and team development skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate cross-site teams.
  • A strategic mindset with a keen ability to balance long-term planning and daily operational demands.
  • Expertise in S&OP processes, supply chain KPIs, and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, capable of working with a wide range of stakeholders.
