As part of our Operational Excellence journey, we are looking for a motivated graduate to help us streamline processes and enhance operational efficiency across our site in Nottingham.

 

The Role

As a Graduate Operational Excellence Specialist, you’ll embark on our prestigious two-year graduate scheme, learning from industry professionals and making a meaningful impact from day one. You’ll work on a variety of exciting projects that contribute to the continuous improvement of our manufacturing processes, safety, product quality and ESG strategy.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with Senior Leadership and cross-functional teams to identify and drive opportunities for improvement.
  • Contribute to initiatives aimed at enhancing operational efficiency, safety, and quality across our production sites.
  • Implement projects focused on reducing waste, improving energy and utility usage, and optimizing workflows.
  • Gather and analyse data to support decision-making and pinpoint areas for process enhancement.
  • Learn from experienced mentors, sharing your innovative ideas and applying their guidance to practical projects.
  • Participate in workshops and on-site learning, gaining skills in continuous improvement methodologies such as 5S, Lean, and Six Sigma.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement across your assigned site and within the wider business.
  • Site Visits take part in site visits and activity workshops across our UK manufacturing sites.
  • Project Management be involved in wider group projects with our graduates in different functions (including Environmental and Sustainability topics)

 

Who We’re Looking For:

  • Formal qualification in a continuous improvement methodology such as: Lean Six Sigma, Lean, TPS would be advantageous
  • A recent degree (2:1 or above) in Supply Chain, Business Management, Engineering, Manufacturing, or Production Management
  • A passion for problem-solving and an interest in improving operational processes.
  • A positive, can-do attitude with strong organisational and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Enthusiasm to perform your duties at pace and a desire to learn, grow, and make a difference!
