Fridge controller 

Location: Market Drayton

Type: Permanent – Full Time

Hours: Monday – Friday, 06:00am – 14:00pm

Salary: £11 per hour 

Palethorpes Bakery is an award-winning and market-share leading ‘Chilled Savoury Pastry’ food manufacturer. We are currently looking for Fridge controller to join our team on Days.

There is no experience required for that position, just a can-do work ethic and positive attitude. 

Please note this role will involve working in chillers and freezers

 Responsibilities Include:

• To rotate old and new stock, old being at the front to use first. Assist in the unloading of vehicles.
• While rotating fridges and freezers also clean them.
• Make sure everything has Lawson tickets on for traceability.
• Manage what people are taking out of the fridges i.e., old stock first.
• To liaise with stores to find out what is coming in and what time so you can make room in the fridges/freezer for new stock arriving.
• Raise any issues with staff taking materials out of rotation and management.
• Take empty trays or dolavs out of the fridges and take them outside by stores.
• Make sure all floors are clean and tidy.

 Skills:

• Numerate and literate

• Ensure safe working practices are adhered to
• Ensure GMP within the department
• Excellent communication skills
