Our Finance department is thrilled to announce a fantastic opportunity for a Financial Accounting Assistant to join our team in Nottingham!

You will play a key role in ensuring smooth and compliant financial operations across our group, whilst working in a fast paced, friendly environment.

Working Hours: Monday to Thursday, 8.30am – 5pm, Friday 8.30am – 4pm.

 Duties: 

  • Undertake financial accounting activities for month end including raising of journals and running financial reports
  • Complete intercompany reconciliations and process cost recharges across the group
  • Review open purchase orders with the business to ensure good housekeeping; raise purchase orders for the department
  • Complete VAT returns for various companies in the group on an accurate and timely basis and other similar reporting
  • Complete any Government surveys that are received
  • Assist the Financial Accounting team on various ad-hoc activity

 

 Your Skills and Experience:

  • Strong communicator (both verbal and written)
  • Excellent attention to detail and a passion for accuracy
  • Advanced Excel skills to analyse and present data effectively
  • The ability to work at pace in a fast-moving environment
  • A desire to learn or the ambition to pursue a finance qualification
