About the Role

As a DevOps Engineer at The Compleat Food Group, you’ll work at the heart of our digital transformation. You’ll design, implement, and maintain the cloud infrastructure, automation pipelines, and deployment processes that keep our products, platforms, and teams running smoothly.

You’ll collaborate across Engineering, QA, and Product, helping us deliver faster, more reliable, and more secure systems as we continue to grow.

What You’ll Be Doing

System Reliability & Availability

• Build highly available and scalable infrastructure
• Define and manage SLOs and SLAs
• Eliminate single points of failure and performance bottlenecks

Monitoring & Observability

• Develop monitoring, logging, and alerting with tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, ELK or New Relic
• Support performance analysis and troubleshooting across distributed systems

Incident Management

• Lead production incident response
• Conduct postmortems and drive long-term solutions

Automation & Infrastructure

• Automate deployments, scaling, and operational workflows
• Implement IaC using Terraform, Pulumi, or CloudFormation

CI/CD & Release Engineering

• Improve deployment pipelines for reliability and speed
• Work closely with developers to ensure smooth, repeatable releases

Performance & Capacity

• Analyse system loads and forecast future requirements
• Optimise performance across infrastructure and applications

Security & Compliance

• Embed security best practices
• Support audits, drills, and security reviews

Collaboration & Culture

• Drive a culture of reliability, ownership, and continuous improvement
• Work closely with cross-functional teams across the organisation

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline
• 3+ years’ experience in DevOps, SRE, or similar roles
• Strong CI/CD experience (Jenkins, GitLab CI, CircleCI)
• Solid programming experience (Python, Spark) and SQL skills
• Proficiency in Docker and Kubernetes
• Experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP
• Infrastructure-as-code experience (Terraform, Ansible, etc.)
• Strong troubleshooting skills
• Familiarity with Power BI and Git/version control
