Palethorpes Bakery, an award-winning and market-share leading ‘Chilled Savoury Pastry’ food manufacturer, are currently looking for a Corrective Engineer to complement our Engineering team.
Our Vision as a business is to inspire our customers through excellence in quality food, innovation and integrity. As a member of our Engineering Team you will be directly contributing to this vision through your core tasks and responsibilities. These will include, but are not limited to:
Maintain and promote health and safety standards across site working safely at all times.
Responsible for all reactive and proactive maintenance work, whilst making sure it is carried out to the highest possible standards across the whole of the site.
Expected to carry out all maintenance and repairs across the factory, in both a low care and high care environment.
Attend to breakdowns when necessary, ensuring that the is always a rapid response and that plant equipment and machinery breakdown time is minimised. Always endeavour to reduce downtime of site plant and machinery.
Carry out repairs to plant and equipment effectively and efficiently, either alone and/or as part of the team.
To carry out PPM onsite whilst always ensuring that there is a pro-active approach to planned maintenance and high PPM output.
Deliver on plant uptime and maintenance KPI’s through planned, preventive & predictive maintenance.
Provide electrical and mechanical drawings.
Identify areas of improvement to increase equipment reliability and efficiencies.
Always adhere to Technical procedures and Good Manufacturing Process (GMP).
Work in a clean and orderly manner in compliance with the Company’s Hygiene Code of Practice.
The successful candidate for this role will need to demonstrate the following skills, qualifications and attributes:
Minimum 3 years maintenance engineering experience.
Skilled Engineer with Formal qualifications.
Manufacturing Industry experience – Industry considered: Packaging, Food, FMCG.
