We are now recruiting for Assistant Materials Controller to join our site management team to be based out of our Clitheroe site.
Hours/Shift: Monday to Friday 08:30 – 17:00
Fixed term contract for length of apprenticeship
18 months
Salary- £12.000
Responsible For
Supporting the Materials Control Team / General Admin
Purpose
To offer administrative support within the materials control team but to also learn first-hand by gaining valuable experience within the role.
Key Duties
Follow Health and Safety procedures at all times and ensure all potential hazards are observed and reported
Follow the company processes, site operating procedures in relation to food safety, hygiene & allergen control
Using Outlook, Excel, Word and PowerPoint in general daily tasks
Using the Company accounting, warehouse management and material requirement planning systems to manage supplier accounts
Producing daily reports and sending to the relevant people, including stock out reports
Raising purchase orders and placing orders with suppliers
Processing delivery notes
Processing invoices
Tracking deliveries
Updating purchasing records (e.g. Dates, invoices and discounts.)
Managing stakeholders, developing positive relationships with suppliers (inside and outside the UK), internal departments and other sites within the business
Being a point of contact for supplier queries (via phone or email)
Organising meetings, taking minutes and circulating actions
Managing any projects which are assigned
Working collaboratively with other departments such as finance, stock control and warehouse

Qualifications
GCSE’s in Maths and English
Working towards Business Administrator Level 3
Level 2 Food Safety and Hygiene (online training provided in house)
Experience
No prior experience needed
Experience in an admin role desirable
