Location: Crewe, CW1 6XQ

Working Hours: Monday – Thursday, 08:30 – 17:00, Friday 08:30 – 16:00

Salary: £32,000 – £33,000

Job Purpose

Control the Accounts Receivable (AR) function at Crewe including the shop, vending, jiffy van, wholesale, fresh and frozen sales.

Key Duties:

• Daily posting of Direct Debits, BACS payments and weekly expenses 
• Bank reconciliations
• Reconciling fresh accounts
• Weekly and Monthly statements 
• Processing customer card payments 
• Monitoring fresh aged debt 
• Overseeing frozen aged debt
• Dealing with customer account queries 
• Weekly and Daily invoicing (EDI)
• Weekly Just Eat differences (journal completed after month end)
• Credit checks on new accounts
• Supporting the reception team calls
• People management responsibilities for 2 staff members 
• Support with Accounts Payable, VAT returns and general accounting where necessary to support the site finance team 

Experience: 

• AAT – part qualified/in-training 
• Previous experience in managing a small team (desirable)
• Good understanding of finance systems and processes
• Effective communicator to stakeholders at all levels
• Team player
• Excellent attention to detail
• Proactive approach to work
• Can-do attitude
